Dog Crate for Great Danes

Hi all.

Sorry, I have been busy with work and hence I do not have the time to update this blog.

Theo is doing fine in his new dog crate. He stops whining and scratching my furniture ever since I bought the new dog crate for him.

I realize the importance of dog crates after I bought this one for him Previously, Theo will whine, scratch my furniture or simply make funny noises. After reading an article here,, i realize that Theo is suffering from separation anxiety. The website gives you excellent tips on how to prevent them, and buying a dog crate is one of them.

I utilize crates for my own dog, and  to discover which brands are good, I talk to genuine specialists, and these are people who are expert in all things canine.

There are three sorts of crates–wire, fabric, and strong plastic–and I include boxes from every class. There are several factors that you might need to consider before purchasing on a dog crate.

Wire Dog Crates are useful for: Dogs who are happier when they can see their immediate surrounding, It is also good in warm conditions as there is positive airflow into the crate. Some of the wiremesh crates are foldable too.

Strong plastic crates are better suited for dogs who do not like to see what's around them when they are unwinding from stress. Also, dogs who like to chew can use these crates too.

Fabric crates works the same way as the plastic ones, but it is more suited for owners who prefer a lighter crate, probably for transportation purposes.

One final note: Crates can be a stupendous tool–for go, for house training, or just to give a sanctum like space to your puppy to unwind and feel safe. Make sure that your puppy doesn't spend a greater amount of his day in a carton than out of it.

There are 2 dog crates that was recommended, and one of which is MidWest iCrate Double-Door Folding Metal Dog Crate, 42 Inches by 28 Inches by 30 Inches, perfect for Theo

This midwest double door crate is good because it can be folded for portability, and it is sturdy enough to withstand the force from Theo. There is a plastic tray for me to clear its poo easily too.

Can't find suitable dog crates in local shops

Like I have said in my previous post, I am on the lookout for suitable dog crates for my large great dane.

I have absolutely no time during the week as I will be working, so I thought it will be good for me to head out today and checkout the local stores.

Apparently, they do not hold suitable dog crates. They either do not have the size I want (Theo can be hude), or it appears flimsy, which defeats the purpose of having a dog crate.

I hope there are kind souls out there who will recommend me one.

Large Dog Crate For Great Danes

I have done some research on large dog crate for Great Danes, and this is what I have gathered so far.

Dog crates are essentially necessary because they can solve a plethora of problems for us!

I used to own a smaller dog, and I realize whenever I am not at home, she will be hide in her crate. It is only when I am home, she will be around in the house. This happens also whenever I try to discipline her for the mistakes that she has done. She will hide inside the crate, and it will take me a good amount of cajoling before she will come out.

I tried to search online for more information, and I realize that these crates serve as a safe haven for them! It provides the comfort and security whenever the owner is out. That's the reason why she prefers to stay in her crate when I am out, and also to retreat into her comfort zone after she got reprimanded by me.

So now, why specifically large dog crate for Great Danes then? Well, if you read my previous post, you would know that I own a Great Dane now, and I am thinking of finding a large dog crate for Great Danes.

Dog Crates

Hi all, this is my virgin post, and I am trying to research a little more about dog crates. 

Now, the question might come ,why research? And why dog crate?

Simple, I own a great dane, and I currently am looking around for good and large dog crate for the Great Dane. Theo is his name anyway. 

I got Theo from a friend who have to relocate, and all he gave me was a pack of kibbles for him! I thought essentially, it will be good for Theo to have a crate of his own.
